Intrinsic Therapeutics, Inc. is a privately
owned company that was incorporated in February 2000 to
design, develop, manufacture and market medical devices
for use in treating spinal disorders.
In February 2000, Intrinsic completed
a series A financing with Spray Venture Partners. Intrinsic closed series
B in January 2001 for 7.5m with New Enterprise Associates
and Spray Venture Partners. A series C round was closed
in December 2002 for 25m with New Leaf Venture Partners and
New Enterprise Associates.
The latest round, series D, closed in August 2007 for 21m
including New Enterprise Associates, New Leaf Venture Partners
and Quilvest.
Funding raised through series D has been used to build Intrinsic
in the area of product development, testing, and attracting
talented individuals to build a strong company for the purpose
of conducting clinical trials and building a marketing and
sales initiative.
The company has a strong focus on building
for the future in the area of product and procedure development.
